Mini Ornament Tree

One advantage of a cubicle space is the usefulness of the walls. With great ease I can pin up notes or hang a photo or calendar.

As I was thinking about ringing in the Christmas season, I wasn’t sure what I could use for decoration. Previously I had worked in an area behind a counter, and I was able to set out decorative things. Now I had only walls, with perhaps a bit of space on my desk. So far I haven’t put anything Christmasy on my desk.

I put up the small blue-tinsely wreath that is just right for the office. But I wanted to fill this other space. I grabbed a bag of mini ornaments and some straight pins and decided to decorate with those. Fairly quickly I came up with the idea of shaping a tree. I found the gold ornament that would serve as the tree topper. In the bag of ornaments there happened to be a piece of green ribbon, which I formed into the shape of a tree stand. (I improved the shape of the tree stand after I saw this picture.)

Result: A happy little Christmas tree on my wall.

Pretty cute, eh?
