New Phone Case

I recently changed carriers for my phone, getting a new phone in the process. I keep it pretty simple and have not used texting more than a handful of times. But . . . I must just get started on that with my new service. I use a prepaid plan that gives me 10 cents a minute for calls and 5 cents a text. On my prior service, I reloaded my phone once every three months for $10, so it cost me only $40 a year. My new service is even less. However, I might begin to use texting sometimes, now that my new phone with its new battery hangs in there longer. Nice!

So I was looking at cases and found a pretty blue case, but it wouldn’t have protected the screen anyway. I am no inclined to carry my phone around. My need for a case was to protect it inside my purse. I had made a case for my iPod, and I decided that the same kind of case would be great for my phone.

I meant to show the process, but I had it done so quickly, I missed taking the step-by-step pictures. The felt was 23 cents. The sewing took about 5 minutes.
